    John Quinton-Barber

    John Quinton-Barber

John is the founder and CEO of Social Group, one of the fastest growing and more forward thinking PR agencies in the UK today. I knew John when he started this business on money from credit card mis-selling and was networking the computers himself on the weekend.
Today, just eight years later, Social has grown to around 50 people across multiple locations in the UK with a reputation for great work and even better employee engagement. John and Social are living proof that business and leadership can embrace a people-centric approach and be profitable.
Please be aware the audio is not what it might be as John was struggling with poor broadband service from a well-known brand with a bright-red logo.

Peter Lewis – Host of the Black Dog Runner podcast

This is a slightly different episode in that Peter and I interviewed each other, or rather we just had a conversation that we are both going to use on our podcasts.
It turns out this was a meeting of minds. We hadn’t talked much before we recorded this, and I think the outcome is better for it. We talk about a range of topics all related to mental fitness including depression , exercise, the importance if finding your happy place and the influence of the Stoic philosophers over 200o years on.
So sit back and enjoy the conversation.

Natasha Jones – Author of Mandemic

Natasha Jones is a lawyer with a difference. She’s written a book to help men with their mental health. She empathetically managed to deliver a book that’s packed full of wisdom without being in the least bit preachy.
In fact, she’s managed to do it in such a way that when I put into practice what she shared, I came away thinking it was my idea all along. And for any woman that knows a man intimately, that’s the best way to get them to do anything!
In this conversation, Natasha talks about what inspired her to write the book, why habits are so important  and what employers can do to look after the wellbeing of their staff.

Thought provoking

Each podcast rings true with me in some level, often on a sub-topic that surprises even me.

A few great nuggets to take away to help you deal with whatever life throws at you.

Penny was particularly easy to listen to and resonated well with me.
